Miami Swim Week Recap

Finally going to share my photo diary from my first Miami Swim Week!  I was lucky enough to attend during my staycation on the beach at the amazing Setai Hotel, which made it so convenient to see all of the shows that I wanted to attend and not get too burned out.

Swim Week – Day 1

My week started on Tuesday when I attended the Miami Magazine/BMW Splashion event.  I wanted to attend this event because it featured notable Miami bloggers as models and was so much fun to watch.

Day 2

I attended the Versakini show by Amanda Perna at the W Hotel.  I loved it because it started off with a violinist to open the show and there was also a monkey on the runway and most of all I loved the sparkle factor because all of the models wore glitter lipstick that really added that razzle dazzle.

Day 3

After a day at the beach, I later attended the Swim Week opening party at the W Hotel that featured looks from OMG!, Kay & Elle and Roberto Cavalli.

Day 4

Started off with Fashion for Breakfast that featured designer, Camilla, who showcased her amazing new line and model/blogger, Rocky Barnes.

Later, I headed over to the Mia Marcelle fashion presentation that was a beautiful moving and still display of their new collection. My last show was held in the Funkshion tent. The Lume line had so many pieces that I would pick for myself, and I especially liked the watercolor designs.

Day 5

The madness continued with two pool parties.  First up was Escape Miami at the Sagamore Hotel where there were many activities and brands represented. Then on to the Nautilus for the Surfing Mag pool party and at this point I was totally drenched from the Miami heat.  After cooling down a bit back at the hotel, I headed out to the Conde Nast Traveler and Dolce & Gabbana party at Soho Beach House. There was a cool laid back vibe and lots of fun.  Then I headed back to the Setai where I attended the last show of the day.  The Sinesia Karol show was my favorite because it was such a beautiful classy scene and the swim line was absolutely divine.  I wanted each piece that went down the runway and the weather was perfect that night.

Day 6

It was finally the last day of runway shows and I was still going strong.  After breakfast, I headed to the Sunday Soiree that was conveniently held at my hotel, The Setai.  It was a one-stop shopping experience with many unique items to choose from and for a great cause.  After soaking up some more sun, I got ready to attend four more shows.  I got to see Filthy Haanz, Baes & Bikinis and MyraSwim shows.  And as I was waiting to attend the headlining finale show, Mint Swim, I got drenched in the massive downpour. Although the show was hampered by the rain, it was finally relocated inside the W Hotel.

Day 7

Ending my Swim Week experience with another Fashion for Breakfast event featuring the amazing ladies from ABikiniADay.com and Bandier.  Their story was so inspiring and I got a chance to take a look at their pop up shop showcasing their new activewear/athleisure line, Monday Active.

Phew, that concludes my Swim Week diary.  I must say that I really had a great time, learned a lot about the brands that were showcased and can’t wait to do it all again next year.  For my outfit details, go here.

xoxo,

Sparkly Ky
